Battlefield Sports market and promote Battlefield Live™ the worldwide combat simulation now in more than 25 countries with millions of games played.
The equipment is 100% portable, tough, weather-proof and can be used either indoors or outdoors. It uses infrared, just like your TV remote. Players shoot an invisible and harmless beam and there’s great light & sound effects.
Everyone enjoys the game. We cater for different fitness levels - anyone can play. Also everyone plays the whole time. Everyone gets a gun and has a role to play. Players are usually divided into two teams and vie for victory given various team objectives like “capture the base” or “V.I.P escort.”
Battlefield Live™ is a team combat simulation played in a variety of maps such as forest, bush land, around buildings and in huge warehouses. The game is completely mobile and versatile, so we can also run at your fete, festival, party or practically any other event.
The technology enables extended range of infrared units in all playing conditions. Extensive testing was carried out to achieve optimal levels of range and firepower of each gun/sensor for the most satisfying gaming experience in a commercial environment. The combat game of Battlefield Live™ has been influenced by modern computer games and military training scenarios. These scenarios provide team members the opportunity to overcome adversity together, and gain greater understanding of the team cohesion and the value of communication.
The core technology used by Battlefield Sports™ is focused infrared light. Infrared is on the safe side of the visible spectrum and is also the spectrum of choice for other military grade combat simulation equipment, like the U.S. Army M.I.L.E.S. system. Some of the Battlefield LIVE core concepts developed by Battlefield Sports that have transformed living gaming are:
Battlefield Live™ is a new concept made possible through a technological break-through enabling extended range (900 feet + in daylight) of infrared units. In 1998 electronics engineers worked out how to lens the I.R. so the beam could travel much further than previously managed by laser tag equipment. This new ability to hit opponents at range and in daylight enabled Battlefield Live™ to be born.
Our equipment uses a 57.6 kHz carrier frequency modulated with a 1.8 kHz signal.
Battlefield Live™ development has been influenced in playing style by paintball whereas the technology is an off-shoot of the indoor arenas. In many respects Battlefield Live combines the best aspects of both indoor arena laser tag and paintball.
The base technology used by Battlefield Sports is infra-red light. Infra-red is on the safe side of the visible spectrum.
